2019 Kia Stinger engine performance

Since it debuted for 2018, the Kia Stinger has been a huge talking point. We had never seen anything like it before from Kia and it has lived up to every expectation. Its striking style will catch your eye, but it’s what’s under the hood that matters the most. Check out what kind of horsepower comes with the 2019 Kia Stinger.

How strong is the 2019 Kia Stinger?

The answer to that question is entirely dependent on the trim level. Those who opt for the Base and Premium trims will get the base engine, though it is still enough to give anyone goosebumps. This standard engine is a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder motor powered by 255 horses. It also puts out 260 pound-foot of torque. Then we have the GT, GT1, and GT2 models. These trims all come standardly fitted with a 3.3-liter V6 engine with 365 horsepower and 376 pound-foot of torque. Given the amount of power these engines have, they are remarkably efficient. The base engine option helps the Stinger average up to 29 highway mpg and 22 city mpg. GT models, while more powerful, are less efficient. They average up to 25 highway mpg and 18 city mpg.
