As far as pricing goes, the Optima and Accord aren't too different. Both models are affordable and well within the market average. On gas mileage (MPG), however, the Optima easily beats the Accord. The engines are identical, and both cars will give you plenty of "umph". On the infotainment front, the Optima comes standard with a voice recognition system, a feature that is not available on the Accord. Additionally, the Optima comes with satellite radio to go along with the traditional AM-FM radio dials. The Accord does not include such satellite radio.
