The Guinness World Record for 2017 is based on a coast-to-coast drive from Los Angeles to New York City, which the 2017 Kia Niro was able to do while sipping an average of 76.6 mpg and using a total of 4.1 tanks of gas. The Niro EX trim was selected for the drive and was driven by Wayne Gerdes and Robert Winger.
