What are the 2020 Kia Forte Driver Aids?

As newer vehicles start implementing more safety technology, it’s amazing to see how far we’ve come.  For a while, seatbelts and airbags were the only safety features in our vehicles. Then they started to have things like cameras, sensors and self-steering features. The 2020 Kia Forte has a few driver aids to help achieve a safer driving experience. What are these aids? Keep reading to find out!

Technology to keep you safe

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA): This system will sense when a potential frontal collision is about to happen. When it senses a collision, it will apply the brakes to avoid impact.

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW): This system has sensors that cover your vehicle’s blind zone areas. When another vehicle enters one of these zones, an indicator light will show up on the respective side mirror.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA): This system senses when you drift into another lane unintentionally. When it senses you drifting, it will apply steering correction to keep you in the proper lane.

High Beam Assist (HBA): This system will automatically dim your high beams when there is an oncoming vehicle. Once the vehicle passes, the high beams will be automatically turned back on.

Smart Cruise Control (SCC): This system senses vehicles ahead while in cruise control. It will slow down or accelerate to maintain the predetermined distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
